Guide for Communicating Concerns

Skokie School District 68 is committed to addressing your questions and concerns promptly and effectively. In alignment with Board Policy 3:30, this guide helps you connect with the individual best positioned to support you. Following these steps ensures the quickest and most accurate response.

Classroom Concern

Contact the Teacher or Staff Member
Begin with the teacher or staff member most directly involved (e.g., classroom teacher, specialist, counselor, or service provider).

School Concern

Contact the Principal or Assistant Principal
If the concern cannot be resolved with the teacher or staff member, or if it is school-wide in nature, please contact the building principal.

District-Level Concern

Contact the District Office
If additional support is needed after following the steps above, please contact the District Office at 847-676-9000. The appropriate District Administrator will assist you.

Public Participation at School Board Meetings

In alignment with Board Policy 2:230, individuals may address the Board during public comment at regular and special open meetings, subject to the policy’s guidelines. The Board listens to all comments and questions; responses are generally guided by Policy 3:30 and the process outlined above.
