Superintendent's Welcome

Welcome!

As the Superintendent of Schools for Skokie School District 68, it is my honor to serve this incredible community.

District 68 is a pre-kindergarten through 8th grade school district serving students and families across four schools in northwestern Skokie and some of Morton Grove. Together, we are a learning community that inspires our students’ fullest academic and human potential, encourages continuous improvement, and contributes positively to our diverse, multicultural society.

Our mission is to develop children who are confident and creative learners. We provide a rigorous curriculum and a supportive school environment that promotes high achievement, encourages personal growth, and meets the unique needs of each child.

Each school includes recently enhanced, modernized learning facilities to advance creativity, innovation, safety, and sustainability while supporting the needs of all learners. We are proud of our team, which includes a dedicated and talented staff with over 70% of teachers holding a master’s degree or higher. To learn more about some of our priorities, please review the 2023-2025 Strategic Plan outlining the goals and objectives of District 68 in alignment to our vision, mission, and core values.

If not already, please consider signing up to receive regular updates through the D68 E-News as we are committed to fostering connection and collaboration with our community.

Thank you,

Dr. Scott Grens
Superintendent
