Safety Reporting

Skokie School District 68 will not tolerate harassing, intimidating conduct, or bullying; any incident reported will be investigated.

Should a safety report exist, we encourage you to speak directly to school personnel, but recognize that at times it is difficult for an individual to personally address a concern.

For grades K-5, students and parents/guardians are encouraged to contact school personnel. For grades 6-8 attending Old Orchard Junior High, “I Am an Upstander” exists as an anonymous reporting system. All concerns will be investigated in a timely manner by the appropriate personnel. Tips are not monitored outside of school hours, which includes: student non-attendance days, weekends, school breaks (including summer) or holidays. All tips submitted during these times will be reviewed the next school day.

If this is an emergency, please call 911.

Tips regarding an incident that has already occurred, or one that is about to take place, should include specific details about who, what, where, and when.

Tips may include information on:

  • Bullying/cyber-bullying
  • Fights
  • Use or sale of illegal substances
  • Weapons or safety
  • The well-being of a student

If you choose to provide your name, every effort will be made to maintain confidentiality.
